Brass PEX × MPT Adapter
The port is female and the PEX needs in — the brass PEX × MPT adapter is that fitting. On one end, a 1/2″ tapered male NPT thread that seats into shower valves, manifold ports, stop valves, and any standard FIP opening; on the other, a 1/2″ ASTM F1807 barb that crimps to the tubing with a copper ring or stainless steel pinch clamp. Machined from lead-free brass for potable hot and cold service, it needs nothing but PTFE tape and a wrench on the threaded side and the usual crimp tool on the other — no torch in the sequence, which is what makes threaded transitions the go-to near finished walls and inside cramped vanities. The straight body keeps full flow between thread and tubing, and the taper does the sealing the way NPT always has. Sold as a single for the service call or a 25-pack for the van that never wants to run out of the fitting every job seems to need.
