Classic Line, Elevated Walls

A softly sculpted Colonial chair rail draws a graceful shadow line that protects walls from chair backs and sets room proportion—perfect with or without wainscot. It is milled from solid Paulownia, a very lightweight, easy-to-finish hardwood, and delivered factory-primed for faster, smoother topcoats. Size: 1-5/8 in profile; lengths: 10′ or 12′ for cleaner, longer runs.

Features
  • What it does: Chair rail protects wall surfaces from chair contact and adds a classic visual break to the wall.
  • Profile: Traditional Colonial contour; 1-5/8 in is a standard chair-rail dimension in the market.
  • Material: Paulownia hardwood — very lightweight, straight-grained; easy to machine and finish.
  • Finish: Factory-primed, paint-ready surface for faster installs and better top-coat adhesion.
  • Lengths: 10′ and 12′ sticks reduce joints on long runs; both are standard retail offerings.
  • Placement guide: Install roughly one-third of wall height (commonly ~32–36 in) to keep proportions balanced.
  • Install: Cut/cope or miter; nail, fill, caulk, and paint—this is standard interior trim practice.
