Flat Stock Casing — Solid Wood, Square-Edge Primed Door & Window Trim

Flat stock casing in finger-joint wood frames a door or window with a crisp, square-edge line — a flat S4S face with no profile, the most modern of the casing options. It carries the same square-edge language as our flat stock baseboard, so a contemporary room reads as one consistent trim package. It takes primer to a smooth, paint-ready face that needs only a top-coat, and the finger-joint body holds a brad without the crumbling that gives composite trim away at a mitred corner. Unlike the MDF casing most yards carry, this is real wood: it resists the denting and corner blow-out that chip fiberboard at the joints, and carries no urea-formaldehyde core to off-gas into the room. Two face widths suit the opening — 2-1/2 inch for a slim modern frame, 3 inch for a slightly broader surround. Supplied in 7-foot lengths — mitre or cope the corners, caulk, and paint it like any premium wood trim.
