Shaker casing in finger-joint wood frames a door or window with a single recessed groove set into a flat, square face — the quiet detail that gives an opening the same clean, cabinet-grade rhythm as a Shaker door, and matches our Shaker baseboard for a consistent look. It takes primer to a smooth, paint-ready face that needs only a top-coat, and the finger-joint body holds a brad without the crumbling that gives composite trim away at a mitred corner. Unlike the MDF casing most yards carry, this is real wood: it resists the denting and corner blow-out that chip fiberboard at the joints, and carries no urea-formaldehyde core to off-gas into the room. The 3-inch face gives a clean, substantial modern frame for interior doors and windows. Supplied in 7-foot lengths — mitre or cope the corners, caulk, and paint it like any premium wood trim.
