ABS cap for sealing the end of an ABS DWV run — the hub socket slides over the pipe end and solvent-welds to a permanent, watertight closure, the clean way to terminate a stubbed-out line or close off a future connection point. Unlike a threaded plug that screws into a fitting, this cap fits over pipe, so it's what you reach for to cap a length of pipe itself. It's a LESSO America ABS DWV fitting conforming to ASTM D2661 and CSA B181.1 with NSF/ANSI 14 and cUPC listings — the marks an inspector checks on a residential or light-commercial rough-in across the GTA. Stocked in 1½", 2", and 3" for the common stub and termination sizes. DWV service only; test hydrostatically, never with compressed air or gas.
