ABS female adapter for making a threaded transition off an ABS DWV line — the hub end solvent-welds to Schedule 40 IPS ABS, and the FIPT (female NPT) end accepts a matching male pipe thread, so you can tie into a threaded trap arm, cleanout, or appliance fitting without leaving solvent-weld ABS. It's the simple hub-to-thread step used wherever a run has to meet a threaded component. It's a LESSO America ABS DWV fitting conforming to ASTM D2661 and CSA B181.1 with NSF/ANSI 14 and cUPC listings — the marks an inspector checks on a residential or light-commercial rough-in across the GTA. Stocked in 1½" for standard drain and vent transitions. DWV service only; test hydrostatically, never with compressed air or gas.
