Threaded join. Solvent-weld simple.
A compact hub × FIPT adapter for clean, threaded transitions in ABS DWV runs. Solvent-weld the hub to Schedule-40 ABS, then use the female NPT (FIPT) end for compatible male pipe-thread connections—ideal when a threaded trap arm or cleanout is required. Built for non-pressurized drain/vent service and aligned to ASTM D2661 / CSA B181.1 with standard cUPC listings. (Nut not included—this is FIPT, not a slip-joint style).
Features
- Connection: Hub × FIPT—solvent-weld hub to ABS; female NPT threads accept male pipe threads (per NPT spec).
- Use case: Enables a threaded transition for traps/cleanouts within DWV layouts, with a compact footprint.
- DWV only: ABS fittings are for non-pressure drain, waste, vent; typical temp limit around 140 °F (manufacturer dependent).
- Standards/listings: Designed to ASTM D2661 and CSA B181.1 requirements; ABS DWV fittings are commonly cUPC-listed.
- Not a slip-joint: “Nut not included” because this is FIPT, not a hub × slip-joint trap adapter (which ships with a nut/washer).
