Schluter KERDI-BAND Waterproofing Strip — 4 mil, Seals KERDI & DITRA Joints

KERDI-BAND is the waterproofing strip that turns a set of separate Schluter membranes into one continuous, water-tight assembly — the detail that decides whether a tiled shower holds or fails at the seams. Used to seal butt joints and floor-to-wall connections across KERDI and DITRA membranes and KERDI-BOARD panels, it carries the same modified-polyethylene base as KERDI membrane but at a slim 4 mil, so overlaps stay flat and never telegraph through the tile. Set into unmodified thin-set and lapped a minimum of two inches over adjoining membrane, the strip bonds tight to inside and outside corners without rounding at the transition, holding the waterproof plane continuous where leaks usually start. For the GTA contractor running a curbless shower or a steam enclosure, it is the unglamorous roll that earns its place on every Schluter wet-area build — bought by the foot on small jobs and by the 984-foot bulk roll when the schedule is full.
