A Shower Pan Without the Mud
A traditional shower pan means packing a mortar bed, setting a liner, and hoping the slope you floated actually drains. The Schluter KERDI-SHOWER-KIT replaces that entire sequence with a pre-sloped, high-strength EPS foam tray and a bonded waterproofing assembly that tile sets onto directly — no mud pan, no liner, no saturation. Each kit arrives with the tray, KERDI-BOARD curbs, KERDI waterproofing membrane, KERDI-BAND seam strip, preformed KERDI-KERECK inside and outside corners, a pipe seal, a mixing valve seal, and the KERDI-DRAIN bonding flange with a 2 inch ABS outlet that solvent-welds straight to an ABS waste line. The flange's fleece-covered face bonds into thin-set so the membrane ties continuously into the drain, which is where a shower usually fails. Choose from four tray sizes and, on the 38 by 60, a centre or off-set outlet to match your rough-in. Waterproof and vapor-tight for standard tiled showers and residential steam showers when built per the handbook. Note that the drain grate is ordered separately, so the finish is yours to pick.
