The Beveled Edge, Two Jobs
Step bevel doorstop and shoe mould in finger-joint wood does two jobs with one beveled profile — it's the strip that stops a door against the jamb, and the slim base shoe that closes the gap where baseboard meets an uneven floor. The angled step throws a crisp shadow line that suits modern and transitional rooms, where the colonial version would read traditional. The 1-1/4 inch profile comes in 7-foot lengths for door and window stops and 10-foot lengths for floor-perimeter shoe runs; the wider 1-3/4 inch profile, in 10-foot lengths, gives a more substantial base shoe for taller baseboards and 9-foot ceilings. It takes primer to a smooth, paint-ready face that needs only a top-coat, and the finger-joint body holds a brad without the crumbling that gives composite trim away at a tight inside corner. Unlike the MDF and plastic stops most yards carry, this is real wood: it resists the denting that chips fiberboard along a kicked doorstop or a vacuumed base shoe, and carries no urea-formaldehyde core to off-gas into the room. Mitre or cope the corners, caulk, and paint it like any premium wood trim.
Features
- Dual-purpose step bevel profile — works as a door/window stop and as base shoe moulding

- Two widths — 1-1/4" standard, 1-3/4" for taller baseboards and 9' ceilings
- Lengths — 1-1/4" in 7' (stop) and 10' (shoe), 1-3/4" in 10' (over-sized shoe)
