One Clean Step, Modern Line

Step bevel baseboard in finger-joint wood brings a crisp, modern line to a room where colonial ogee trim would read traditional — a single stepped reveal with a clean top bevel that throws a narrow shadow line along the floor. It takes primer to a smooth, paint-ready face that needs only a top-coat, and the finger-joint body holds a brad without the crumbling or edge-blowout that gives composite trim away on a job. Unlike the MDF step bevel most yards carry, this is real wood: it resists the denting that chips fiberboard in high-traffic halls and carries no urea-formaldehyde core to off-gas into the room. The 5-1/4-inch height suits standard walls and contemporary condo renovations; the 7-inch profile anchors 9-foot ceilings and open-concept builds where a taller, flatter baseboard does the modern work colonial can't. Supplied in 10-foot lengths — cut it, cope or mitre the returns, caulk, and paint it like any premium wood trim.

Features
  • Step bevel profile — single stepped face with a top bevel for a clean, modern shadow line
  • Finger-joint wood body — holds a brad and resists the edge denting that chips MDF trim
  • Factory-primed face — paint-ready surface needs only a finish top-coat to match walls or casing
  • Two heights — 5-1/4" for standard walls, 7" for 9' ceilings and open-concept rooms
  • No urea-formaldehyde core — finger-joint wood does not off-gas the way composite MDF trim can
  • Modern/transitional look — flatter, squarer alternative to traditional colonial ogee trim
  • Cuts, copes, and mitres clean — works like standard wood trim with finish or brad nails
