One squeeze. Tight where a crimper won't fit.
There are two ways to close an F1807 barb, and the cinch clamp is the one that fits where a crimp jaw won't. Instead of a full-circle ring squeezed by a two-handed tool, this is a stainless band with a raised ear: hook the cinch tool over the ear, squeeze once, and the band draws down tight around the fitting. The tool head is small enough to work in a joist bay or against a stud where there's no room to swing a crimper. The band is 304 stainless, so it doesn't corrode in a damp crawlspace or react against copper, and the ear collapses under the tool rather than deforming the band, which keeps the compression even all the way around. It seals 1/2″ SDR9 tubing — PEX-A, PEX-B, and PE-RT — onto the same brass barbs a copper ring would close. A hundred to the bag, and a go/no-go gauge check on every one.
Features
- 304 stainless steel band — resists corrosion in damp crawlspaces and won't react against copper lines
- Single-ear cinch design — the compact tool head reaches into joist bays and tight stud cavities where a crimp jaw won't open
- Ear collapses under the tool — draws the band down evenly instead of distorting it, keeping compression uniform around the joint
- SDR9 compatibility — seals 1/2″ PEX-A, PEX-B, and PE-RT onto standard F1807 insert fittings
- Requires a PEX cinch (F2098) tool — not the same tool as a copper crimp ring
- 100 clamps per bag — sized for a rough-in
