Brass PEX × MIP Elbow
Where PEX meets a threaded port in a tight corner, something has to give — the brass PEX × MIP 90° elbow adapter makes sure it isn't the tubing. It handles the turn and the transition in one fitting: a 1/2″ ASTM F1807 crimp barb on one end, a 1/2″ tapered male pipe thread on the other, set at a right angle so the line drops into a shower valve, manifold port, or threaded fixture without a strain-inducing bend. Forged from lead-free DZR brass and certified to cUPC and NSF/ANSI 61, it's rated to 100 psi at 180°F for potable and hydronic service on any SDR-9 PEX. The threads are tapered NPT — a wrap of PTFE tape and a firm wrench-tighten seats them — while the barb end crimps with the same rings and tool as the rest of the system. One elbow for the reno punch list, or a 25-pack for the crew plumbing valve walls all week.
