Brass PEX × FPT Adapter
Every water heater nipple, threaded valve, and tank fitting ends in male thread — the brass PEX × FPT adapter is how a PEX line grabs onto it. One end is a 1/2″ female NPT thread that spins onto any standard male pipe thread; the other is a 1/2″ ASTM F1807 barb that crimps to the tubing with a copper ring or stainless steel pinch clamp. That makes it the stock answer for landing PEX on a boiler drain, a threaded stop, a pump union, or the cold side of a tank — anywhere the equipment side of the job already speaks thread. Machined from lead-free brass for potable hot and cold service, it seals the threaded joint with PTFE tape or pipe dope and the barb side with the same crimp tool as the rest of the system — no torch anywhere in the sequence, which is why threaded transitions are the favourite near finished surfaces. Sold as a single for the service call or a 25-pack for the van.
