Brass Push-Fit Elbow
Some joints happen where a torch can't go and a crimp tool can't reach — the brass push-fit elbow is built for them. A flooded ceiling bay, a live repair under a full cabinet, two inches of stub in a finished wall: cut the line square, deburr, mark the insertion depth, and push — the stainless steel grab ring bites, the internal O-ring seals, and the 1/2″ line turns 90° with no tool, no flame, and no ring to gauge. It connects PEX, copper, and CPVC interchangeably, which is what makes push-fit the emergency-repair standard: whatever pipe the wall surprises you with, the same fitting lands on it. Machined from lead-free brass for potable hot and cold service, it's removable with a disconnect clip, so a temporary repair can become permanent — or come apart cleanly when the renovation starts. One in the drawer saves the Sunday call.
