Brass Push-Fit Tee
Adding a branch to a finished system is the job nobody budgets for — the brass push-fit tee cuts it down to one fitting. Section out a coupling-width of the existing 1/2″ line, deburr, mark the depth, and push the tee into the gap: two ends rejoin the run, the third sends a new branch wherever the ice maker, hose bibb, or basement bathroom needs it. Each port grips PEX, copper, or CPVC independently, so a copper trunk can grow a PEX branch in one push — no drain-down soldering, no crimp tool swinging in a joist bay. The stainless steel grab rings bite, the internal O-rings seal, and the system is live again in minutes. Machined from lead-free brass for potable hot and cold service and removable with a disconnect clip, it's the fitting that turns "we'd have to open the ceiling" into an afternoon job.
