Brass Push-Fit Cap
Rough-in done, inspector booked, every stub open — the brass push-fit cap seals them in seconds and unseals them the day the fixtures arrive. It presses onto a 1/2″ PEX, copper, or CPVC stub, holds the line through the pressure test, and comes back off with a disconnect clip instead of a hacksaw. No torch, no crimp ring, no sacrificed inch of pipe — where a crimped plug is a permanent decision, this cap is a reusable one, moving from stub to stub as each fixture lands. The stainless steel grab ring bites the pipe, the internal O-ring makes the seal, and full insertion is the only technique involved: cut square, deburr, mark the depth, push. Machined from lead-free brass for potable systems, it can also permanently retire a line where code allows an accessible cap. Keep a handful in the van — the fastest closed line in the trade.
