The ring that makes the joint.
A PEX joint is only as good as the ring squeezed around it. Slide one of these over the tubing, seat the fitting, and one full compression of the crimp jaw deforms the copper permanently into the barb — a mechanical seal that doesn't loosen, back off, or need retightening a decade later. The copper is dead-soft annealed, so it yields evenly under the tool instead of springing back, and the spot stop on the ring keeps it from sliding past the fitting shoulder while you set the jaw. These are 1/2″ rings made to ASTM F1807, the same standard as the crimp fittings they close on — brass tees, elbows, couplings, valves, and stops all take the same ring. A hundred to the bag, because nobody crimps just one.
